STEEPL
The STEEPL method is used as a structural approach for identifying challenges and opportunities and for defining (market) indicators. STEEPL scenarios are used to analyze drivers and key topics.
SmartBioGo
Tool for assessing and quantifying the overall system contribution of several individual contributions of bioenergy concepts, based on the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and a dynamic indicator database.
Factsheets and best practices
Factsheets on technologies and CCS concepts provide an overview of various examples of concepts with negative emissions and their main features as well as best practices. Factsheets on technologies and value chains in the bioeconomy provide an overview of different examples of bioeconomy concepts and their main characteristics. Technical information and performance indicators are included.
Scenario tool
Database based Tool that enables a comprehensive analysis and selection of bioenergy scenarios according to methodology and specific scenario characteristics. The tool contains over 150 scenario studies related to energy and climate.
Living Lab
Experimentation and innovation method based on the quadruple helix model (society, economy, science and politics) and the five phases of innovation (challenge definition, idea development, solution/prototyping, evaluation/test iterations and implementation).
ESYS Assessment Framework
A comprehensive framework for assessing the status quo and future of bioenergy technologies for integration into the energy system. Includes technical, economic, environmental, system, social and BECCS criteria.
BEAS.db
Database containing technical and systemic bioenergy plant data of the power sector. Includes various automatic analytical functions for quick analysis and presentation of data.
HKW.db
Database with technical and systemic data of bioenergy plants using solid biomass from the annual DBFZ surveys.
