Field of work
Nora Szarka studied environmental engineering at the University of Miskolc in Hungary and completed her PhD studies at the University of Leoben in Austria. She worked at the University of Leoben and University of Concepción in Chile as a project manager and research assistant. Since 2011, she is leading the work group Biomass in the Energy System at DBFZ. Her research focus is on the development and implementation of integration criteria and assessment methods of smart biomass-based concepts and the development and analysis of bioenergy and bioeconomy scenarios and transformation pathways.
