In his role as Data Lab’s data curator, Kai Radtke aims to structure research data and advance its efficient (machine-) processability with the overall objective of improving the usability and visibility and preventing the loss of DBFZ’s valuable data on all topics of bioeconomy. The goal is to advance the sustainable data handling to promote the researchers on the one hand side and knowledge transfer into the scientific community and the society on the other. This is achieved by considering the FAIR principles on findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of research data.

His focus is mainly on:

  • Buildup of an interdepartmental research data infrastructure at the DBFZ
  • Processing, harmonization, combination and analysis of data
  • Data bases and data models
  • Research data management and meta data

In short: „structured scientific data for an efficient and sustainable science”
