04.03.2025

On 6 and 7 March 2025, the 3rd Soil Symposium is taking place in Adama, Ethiopia. This year’s Soil Symposium is organised and hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia and provides a platform for reasearchers, practitioners and policy makers to present and exchange their experiences with biochar-based fertilizers for the regeneration of soil fertility in Ethiopia. Ongoing research supported by the ETH-Soil project is presented as well as further research conducted in Ethiopia. Furthermore, the Soil Symposium will include presentations on the topics of geo-information for resource screening and soil mapping, bonechar as phosporous fertilizer and the amelioration of acid soils. We are looking forward to a productive and enlightening exchange with our presenters and participants. With over 120 registrations, this Soil Symposium will be the biggest yet. Below, you can find the schedule for the event. After the event, the documentation will be provided on our website.
